Maison Boulud at Marina Bay Sands is conceived as a refined yet relaxed ‘home away from home’ for Chef Daniel Boulud. Drawing on the timeless elegance of the French Riviera and interpreted through a tropical lens, the two-level restaurant blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary softness. Sculptural forms, layered textures, and a calm, neutral palette set the tone for a space that feels both intimate and elevated- framing fine dining within a warm, residential sensibility.
Guests arrive to a maisonette-inspired facade where deeply carved bay windows frame views for intimate moments of dining. A grand feature staircase anchors the space, connecting the two floors like the heart of a private residence. Black metal detailing, laminated glass, and jewel-like lighting elements add moments of refinement, while the fluid geometry guides guests naturally through the restaurant’s layered dining experience.
Large bay windows open the interiors to lush greenery, recreating the dappled light and shadow of Mediterranean coastal terraces. Outdoor lounge areas extend the experience beyond the dining rooms, furnished with teak lounge chairs and generously upholstered alcoves. These spaces invite guests to linger, offering moments of ease and informality that balance the restaurant’s refined interior with a sense of sunlit, alfresco leisure.
The dining rooms are defined by an emphasis on materiality and texture. Custom fabrics, ranging from elegant brushstroke patterns to bold colour blocking sit alongside curvaceous upholstered forms and warm timber finishes. A central olive tree overhangs island seating in the main dining area, reinforcing a sense of calm and conviviality. Throughout, mosaic and parquet flooring subtly reference coastal living while grounding the space in tactile comfort.
