Taking inspiration from the spirit of a worldly collector, we have crafted a residence within The Whiteley that feels both storied and spontaneous, a home that unfolds like a curated journey across cultures, eras, and materials. This layered approach speaks to a life of travel, taste, and thoughtful accumulation, where each object has a narrative and every surface invites touch. The design balances restraint and exuberance, heritage and modernity, all with a sense of quiet luxury.
Balancing historic authenticity with imaginative expression, the space honours the building’s Edwardian roots through bespoke mouldings, architectural panelling, and grand proportions, while introducing playful gestures like custom Fromental wallpaper and bold shifts in volume. The furnishings are drawn from a global palette: Georgian chandeliers, Irish-made pieces from Orior, Parisian prints from Cahiers d’Art, rugs by Pinton and CC Tapis, and bespoke objects by L’OBJET and The Lacquer Company. Together, they create an atmosphere that feels at once elevated and deeply personal.
The bedrooms retreat into a softer, more intimate rhythm. The master suite is composed with subtle textures and vintage lighting, while secondary rooms continue the narrative of curated eclecticism with heirloom-inspired furniture and hand-finished details. A mezzanine level, overlooking the main living space, offers a moment of quiet escape, a study, library, or atelier suspended above the heart of the home.
